The Seqota Declaration: A Commitment to Ending Child Stunting in Ethiopia

In this video, we explore the Seqota Declaration, a pivotal governmental commitment aimed at eradicating stunting among children under two years by 2030.
Unveiled in 2015, this initiative outlines a comprehensive 15-year roadmap that engages ten line ministries in a multi-sectoral approach. We delve into the key interventions that focus on nutrition-sensitive strategies, agricultural support, and improved access to nutrient-dense foods.
With significant investments from the Ethiopian government, this initiative has already shown promising results in reducing stunting cases and aims to inspire other African nations to tackle chronic undernutrition.
