Championing Africa’s Next Generation: H.E. Demeke Mekonnen Drives Fight Against Child Stunting at Paris N4G Summit
In March 2025, during the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit in Paris, our Board Chair and ALN Champion H.E. Demeke Mekonnen took to the global stage to champion Africa’s next generation.
During the impactful side event tracking the Seqota Declaration’s incredible journey “from Tokyo to Paris,” he passionately emphasized that to secure our future, we must tackle child stunting in under-twos right at its roots.
It was an honor to collaborate with extraordinary leaders like His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho (AU Nutrition Champion) and SUN Movement Coordinator Afshan Khan. The partnerships forged in Paris continue to drive our mission forward today. Together, we are building a well-nourished, thriving Africa!
