YADAM Foundation and TechnoServe Strengthen Partnership to Advance Nutrition in Ethiopia
On November 13, 2025, YADAMm Foundation welcomed TechnoServe’s Millers for Nutrition (M4N) program team for a high-level discussion on advancing Large Scale Food Fortification. The meeting brought together distinguished leaders, including H.E. Demeke Mekonnen, Founder and Chairman of Yadam Foundation alongside senior representatives from both organizations.
The session opened with warm remarks from Yadam Foundation’s leadership, who expressed appreciation for TechnoServe’s visit and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to collaborative action. TechnoServe’s Program Manager, Mr. Geremew Tassew, introduced his team and highlighted the organization’s ongoing initiatives in Ethiopia, particularly the progress of the Millers for Nutrition program. Both sides emphasized the importance of aligning efforts to scale up Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) as a proven solution to combat malnutrition.
Yadam Foundation presented its vision and strategic priorities, including preparations for the upcoming High-Level National Advocacy Event: “Strengthening Nutrition Advocacy in Ethiopia,” scheduled for December 18, 2025. The Foundation confirmed that the event will convene government officials, regional leaders, and donors to drive forward LSFF advocacy and ensure tangible implementation outcomes. TechnoServe pledged its active participation, supporting miller engagement and exhibition coordination.
Both parties expressed enthusiasm for co-designing and scaling initiatives such as the Tekeze Blue Hub, which integrates regional development with nutrition impact and aligns with Ethiopia’s Seqota Declaration to end stunting by 2030.The meeting concluded with a shared vision to deepen collaboration and amplify visibility across Ethiopia, Africa, and the global nutrition ecosystem.
