Yadam Foundation Meets with German Ambassador to Discuss Food Systems and Sustainable Development
Addis Ababa, March 9 — The Yadam Foundation held a high-level meeting with Her Excellency Birgitt Ory, Ambassador of the Germany to Ethiopia, to explore areas of collaboration in strengthening food systems, improving nutrition, and advancing sustainable development initiatives.
During the meeting, Yadam Foundation presented its key programs focused on food security, school feeding initiatives, and policy advocacy, all aimed at strengthening community resilience and supporting vulnerable populations.
The Foundation also highlighted its Blue Hub initiative, which promotes the blue economy through sustainable agriculture, fish farming, aquatic ecosystem programs, and climate-resilient livelihood opportunities.
Her Excellency emphasized the increasing focus of international partners on food systems transformation and nutrition, areas that closely align with the mission and work of Yadam Foundation.
Both sides underscored the importance of strong collaboration between local organizations, government institutions, and international partners in addressing food security challenges and advancing sustainable development.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue dialogue and explore opportunities for partnership that can further strengthen resilient food systems and improve livelihoods across Ethiopia.
