Global Solidarity in Action: H.E. Demeke Mekonnen and Ban Ki-moon Champion Climate Resilience in Oromia

In 2022, during the UN General Assembly in New York, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen the former Deputy Prime Minister, joined fellow African leaders to sign the Presidential Declaration on Accelerated Stunting Reduction in Africa. This landmark document officially recognized the incredible success of Ethiopia’s Seqota Declaration and laid out a multi-sectoral blueprint to scale that success continent-wide.

Today, the YADAM Foundation continues to carry this exact mandate forward: breaking down silos, mobilizing resources, and ending childhood stunting across Africa.
