During the 39th African Union Summit, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen elevated the Continental Nutrition Agenda, advocating for sustained and dedicated domestic resource mobilization across AU member states.

He stated further that adequate nutrition is not merely a health objective—it is a foundational pillar for human capital development, economic resilience, and long-term continental prosperity.
