Strengthening Partnerships for Ethiopia's Nutrition Future

At the 2026 Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen, Board Chairman of the YADAM Foundation, held a productive meeting with Dr. Lawrence Haddad, Executive Director of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

The two leaders discussed avenues to deepen collaboration and build on the strong working relationship already established with the GAIN Ethiopia team, led by Country Director Wubet Girma.

The conversation underscored a shared commitment to advancing food and nutrition security in Ethiopia — and reaffirmed both organizations’ resolve to translate dialogue into impactful, on-the-ground action for communities that need it most.
