Empowering Ethiopia's Nutrition: Large-Scale Food Fortification Workshop

 

 

 

 

We are proud to share highlights from our workshop in Addis Ababa, where the Yadam Foundation, under the visionary leadership of our Founder and Board Chairman, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen, partnered with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).

 

The workshop focused on “Enabling a Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) Ecosystem in Ethiopia.”As an African Nutrition Champion and the founding father of the historic Seqota Declaration, H.E. Demeke Mekonnen opened the event by emphasizing that robust nutrition advocacy is the cornerstone of human capital development and economic growth across the continent.

 

Through collaborative public-private partnerships, the Yadam Foundation remains committed to driving the execution of mandatory staple food fortification such as enriching wheat flour and edible oil with essential vitamins and minerals.
