YADAM Foundation and ECSC-SUN Explore a Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Ethiopia’s Nutrition Transformation

The YADAM Foundation and ECSC-SUN Ethiopia recently held a productive consultation to establish a Strategic Partnership Framework designed to enhance collaboration and advance Ethiopia’s national food and nutrition security agenda. This emerging partnership aims to align high-level advocacy efforts with strong technical coordination in order to achieve long-term, systematic improvements in nutrition across the country.

The collaboration is built on the distinct strengths of each organization, with YADAM Foundation taking the lead on strategic advocacy and political engagement. By leveraging its continental reach, YADAM seeks to elevate nutrition issues on national and regional agendas, shape policy dialogue. Meanwhile, ECSC-SUN Ethiopia will focus on operational coordination by strengthening civil society coalitions, convening technical partners, and institutionalizing policy actions and advocacy commitments at all levels.

Additionally, the partnership will reinforce coordinated policy engagement, generate evidence, and provide technical guidance to accelerate effective implementation. YADAM is also coordinating a high-level workshop scheduled for December, which will focus on the implementation of Large-Scale Food Fortification (LSFF), the development of a national scale-up roadmap for Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS), and the progress made in nutrition financing and governance reforms. This collaboration represents a significant step toward fostering harmonized approach that links strategic leadership with practical execution across Ethiopia.
