YADAM Foundation, Partners in Education Ethiopia and Angolala Tera Woreda Launch Checki Community Transformation Initiative
On 23 February 2026, YADAM Foundation, in partnership with Partners in Education Ethiopia (PiEE) and Angolala Tera Woreda Administration, held a project launch and multi-party agreement signing ceremony for the Checki Community Transformation Initiative in Chacha.
The initiative is part of YADAM’s broader mission to end all forms of malnutrition that integrates health, education, agriculture, social protection, WASH, and livelihoods. The signing of the multi-party agreement formalizes roles and responsibilities across partners and establishes a shared governance framework for planning, implementation, and joint monitoring of progress.
During the event, woreda sector heads Ms. Aynalem Demissie (Education Office Head), Mr. Akeberegn Yemru (Health Office Head), and Mr. Amare Tizazu (Agriculture Office Head) expressed their strong commitment to implement the agreement and to provide leadership through the Steering Committee and Project Implementation structures. The Woreda Administration emphasized the holistic nature of the project, highlighting its focus on nutrition, health, education, agriculture, skills development, and gender transformation for families in Checki kebele.
The Checki Community Transformation Initiative will serve as a practical demonstration of how integrated, multi-sector solutions can improve child growth, school readiness, and family resilience, while generating evidence for wider scale-up in Ethiopia and across Africa.
