His Excellency Mr. Demeke Mekonnen Speech To The UNHCR
In his address at the first Global Refugee Forum on behalf of the Ethiopian Government, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E. Demeke Mekonnen highlighted the essential strides made in bringing refugees from 26 nations into education, health, documentation, and job markets.
He reminded global partners that the burden cannot fall solely on developing host nations and a few donors. He called on all stakeholders to broaden the support base and join hands to assist both refugees and host communities.
Today, this commitment to vulnerable communities guides his work as Founder of YADAM Foundation and African Nutrition Champion.
